Experience

Michelle Peterson leads the Career Transition Services & Coaching Clearinghouse, powered by CBIZ and EFL Associates. Armed with inside knowledge of executive recruiting and corporate talent acquisition, she possesses a demonstrated history working in the Human Resources function with expertise and skills in talent management, employee relations, and career development.

In the Career Transition Services practice, Peterson focuses on providing a high-touch, personalized approach designed for senior-level staff through a search consultant’s insight regarding strategy, resume preparation, and interview skills. Career transition participants are guided through a customized process designed to empower them by providing the tools necessary to reduce the apprehension that often accompanies a job search.

In the Coaching Clearinghouse practice, Peterson works with a roster of vetted, preferred coaches and matches them with clients based on their organization’s specific needs and requirements – choices relative to coaching styles, delivery methods, and coach/participant chemistry considerations.

Since joining EFL Associates as a Talent Acquisition Consultant in 2019, Peterson has become a leader in finding passive candidates, the ones who “didn’t know they should be looking”, by merging technology, targeted personal outreach, and old-fashioned hard work to assist clients with making critical talent decisions. Whether you're a corporate client or a candidate, Peterson believes the key to a successful leadership search is truly listening to both parties to build strong relationships and she enjoys being the catalyst in making that long-term client-candidate connection.

Prior to EFL Associates, Peterson spent over eleven years working as a human resources business partner with a focus on recruiting at several organizations including Ernst & Young and American Century Investments. She has been involved with Safe Home and Women’s Employment Network where she counseled unemployed women on re-entering the workforce, assisting them with job searches, resume building, and interview preparation. She currently volunteers with the Supporting Kids Foundation.
