Angie Salmon possesses significant experience in corporate board and executive search, having completed over 400 search engagements across a variety of industries since she joined EFL Associates/CBIZ in 2004.
In 2019, her role expanded to include additional CBIZ services: employee benefits, retirement plan advisory, commercial insurance and compensation consulting in addition to board/executive search. As such, Salmon aligns the technical expertise across approximately 5,000 CBIZ associates to support clients in recruiting and retaining talent and managing risk. Salmon continues to lead the Board of Directors Search Practice at EFL Associates, as well.
Salmon began her career as a consultant with Arthur Andersen, a former “Big Five” accounting firm. As part of the Strategy, Organization and People group in Andersen’s consulting practice, Salmon worked with clients through organizational redesign issues - employee development, communication guidelines, and change enablement strategies.
Subsequently, Salmon served as Business Consultant and Team Lead for Campus Recruiting with Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ: CERN), a healthcare technology company. At Cerner, she partnered with executive leadership to create strategic associate deployment and development strategies, and managed the company’s campus recruiting efforts at approximately 30 universities nationwide.
A former NCAA Division I athlete in volleyball and track and field, Salmon chaired the Compliance Subcommittee on the UMKC Intercollegiate Athletic Committee, and was Treasurer of the Bloch School of Business Alumni Board. Named to the inaugural class of the Kansas City Business Journal’s NextGen Leaders program, she is the Board Chair for the Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment (SAFE) and is a board member for the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission.
Salmon was previously a member of the WinWin Connections Committee of the CentralExchange, aimed at increasing gender diversity on corporate boards, and maintains her passion for enhanced diversity and inclusion in corporate boardrooms and executive teams.
