Chief of Operations

Our client, the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC or “the Auraria Campus”) is seeking a Chief of Operations (COO)AHEC is a dynamic and vibrant higher education community located in the heart of downtown Denver. The 150-acre campus is shared by three separate and distinct institutions of higher learning: Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver. AHEC is a separate state entity whose role is to provide and manage shared services, facilities, and property to support these prominent institutions in achieving their goals. The collective student population is approximately 38,000, with an additional 5,000 faculty and staff.

 

Reporting directly to the CEO of AHEC, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) leads a total staff complement of approximately 90 through five direct reports. These are comprised of a Manager of Environmental Health & Life Safety, a Director of Project Management & Facilities, two Assistant Directors and an Operations Coordinator. The COO will direct an annual operating budget of approximately $20M.  In addition, the position will oversee a portfolio of state and agency funded projects that total approximately $80M over the next five years.  The COO is responsible for administering, managing, and supervising the delivery of quality services provided by the Division to AHEC and to the three academic institutions as well as administration of Capital Construction, Controlled Maintenance and Deferred Maintenance projects and requests.

Vice President of Marketing & Sales

DCPA is seeking a skilled, energetic, and mission-focused executive who will plan, direct and lead the DCPA’s marketing and communications strategy. 

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Marketing & Sales will oversee a budget of approximately $10 million with sales revenue responsibility of $40-$60 million annually. The VP, of Marketing & Sales will lead a team of 8 direct reports, more than 60 staff and over 350 volunteers. The Vice President of Marketing & Sales will have primary responsibility for establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow the organizations brand and content strategy and execution.
