Deputy Secretary of Business Development

We are assisting our client, The Kansas Department of Commerce in their search for the Deputy Secretary of Business Development. Reporting to the Secretary of Commerce, the Deputy Secretary will serve as second in command alongside the Chief Counsel.

The Deputy Secretary will lead the Business Development, Communications and Marketing, Community Development, and International Divisions. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of leadership experience in business and/or economic development.

Chief Executive Officer

Our nonprofit client’s mission is providing support to those with disabilities and working toward a fundamental shift in how they are perceived by the community. They understand real change happens when men and women with developmental disabilities have the opportunity to showcase their abilities. 

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead a team of senior level direct reports and a large staff. The CEO’s responsibilities include P&L management, human resources, program management, fundraising and community and board relations. 

We seek: A proven track record of innovative executive leadership including strategy, finance, staff and volunteer recruitment and retention, program development and integration, and fundraising; a skilled communicator to offer consistent and thoughtful messaging to residents, families, and regulatory agencies; a Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent. An advanced graduate degree is preferred.

Director of Marketing

Our client is a nonprofit, scientific and educational association in Denver, Colorado serving over 50,000 international members.

The Director of Marketing will lead a high-performing team of approximately 10-12 marketing professionals with backgrounds in publishing, conferences, membership, creative and website management. S/he will be responsible for managing a marketing budget of approximately $100K, developing a strategic plan for an integrated marketing function and a tactical plan that ensures achievement of both near-term and long-term objectives.

Requirements: An undergraduate degree in marketing or related field, a minimum of ten years of progressive senior leadership experience in an integrated marketing environment including a minimum of five years of managing a diverse marketing team and experience with a wide range of B2B marketing and branding initiatives within a complex, multi-product/revenue stream environment.
