We are seeking a Director of HR for our client, a large, diverse department of the State of Colorado with over 5,000 employees. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director of Administration, the Director of HR, together with the 70+ HR team, will ensure timely and appropriate measures for organizational success regarding legal/regulatory compliance, HR strategic management, and training and professional development.
The successful candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Management, or a related field and possess a minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in HR with a minimum of three years at the executive level developing and executing strategic work plans, budget development and control, and effective relationship management. Prior success working within a unionized environment and/or government experience is strongly preferred.
