Director of Finance

EFL Associates has been engaged to assist our client in their search for a Director of Finance. Our client is a leading global manufacturer of both steel and synthetic rope, specialty wire and engineered products serving a diverse range of end markets, geographies and customers. Headquartered in Prairie Village, Kansas (Metropolitan Kansas City), the company maintains a broad portfolio of critical products across the end markets served.

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate must be a self-starter and change agent with superior financial acumen and a demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Director, Human Resources

Our client, is seeking a Director, Human Resources.   CTPF is the administrator of a defined benefit public employee retirement fund providing retirement, survivor, and disability benefits for over 67,500 certified teachers and employees of the Chicago Public Schools.  CTPF also offers group health insurance coverage for members who must pay for health insurance coverage when they retire, and provides a subsidy to help pay for the cost of coverage. CTPF is headquartered in downtown Chicago.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director, Human Resources, is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.  The Director, Human Resources will oversee two direct reports.

Director of Construction

EFL Associates has been engaged to assist Mission Peak Capital in their search for a Director of Construction (“DC”). The DC will lead Peak Residential’s “Built for Rent” residential subdivisions and manufactured housing development projects. The DC’s span of control includes infrastructure, site work, and construction. This is a great opportunity with genuine growth potential.

Qualified candidates will possess: a degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related work history; 5-10 years of experience in multi-family or single-family construction & development; and experience in all facets of the construction and development process, including permitting, contractor selection and construction implementation, establishing project budgets, and financial analysis.

Executive Director

Our client, the Teachers’ Retirement System of Oklahoma (TRS), established in 1943 for the purpose of providing retirement allowances and other specified benefits for qualified persons employed by state-supported educational institutions, is seeking an Executive Director (ED). TRS administers a cost-sharing multiple-employer pension plan which is a defined benefit pension plan (DB Plan) and a cost-sharing multiple-employer plan providing post-employment benefits (OPEB plan). The combined plans’ assets are approximately $20.2B and serve over 184,026 members, both active and inactive.

 The ED reports to a 15-member Board and is the CEO for the agency and responsible for the overall administration of TRS.  The ED will oversee a present staff of 38 through 4 direct reports, along with an operating budget of $9.5M. This role is located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Director of Finance

Human Resources Manager

EFL Associates has been engaged to assist our client, a growing real estate development firm, in their search for a Human Resources Manager (“HRM”). Reporting to the COO, the HRM is responsible for managing the daily operations of the HR function including employee relations, on-boarding, training, performance management, benefits, compensation, and employment law compliance. Qualified candidates will possess 3-5 years’ experience in HR – with management of a multi-state workforce preferred. The ideal candidate would have a familiarity with the complexity in the management of both hourly and salaried workers, with a general knowledge of incentive compensation programs. Retirement Executive Director

Our client, the City of Cincinnati, is seeking a Retirement Executive Director to lead the Cincinnati Retirement System (CRS). CRS includes a single employer defined benefit Pension Plan for general employees that includes a deferred retirement option program (DROP), and a retiree health care benefits. Combined Pension Trust and OPEB Trust assets are $2.2B. CRS serves approximately 3,000 active members and 4,300 pensioners.

The Retirement Executive Director is appointed by and reports to the City Manager. The Retirement Executive Director is responsible for providing the support and guidance necessary for the Board to discharge its fiduciary responsibilities to plan participants and ensure that CRS administers the complex benefits structure accurately. This role will direct a staff of twelve through four direct reports.

Senior Managing Director of Multifamily Housing

Vice President, Customer Care

Our client, located in Loveland, Colorado seeks a Vice President, Customer Care.  Our client develops and manufactures companion animal health diagnostics and treatments sold to pet health providers across the US and Europe.  The VP, Customer Care is a newly created, key strategic and operational leadership role responsible for the delivery of an exceptional customer support and service experience via multiple channels.  S/he will lead a team of six director to senior manager-level professionals and oversight of the service team of over 65 employees. 

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree; minimum of 15 years’ of progressive work experience including a minimum of 5 years of success leading large, proven success managing and mentoring a large, diverse team, and expert level proficiency in Agency Management Systems, Epic proficiency is strongly preferred.

Our client is a leading pet product development, manufacturing, and marketing company providing products to the companion animal market. The GM will manage operations with responsibility for strategic planning to achieve established growth and profitability targets.

Qualified candidates will possess: Ten or more years of management and/or business unit leadership background in private industry; 5+ years’ experience in companion or animal health; and a BS/BA degree in a business or technical/science field (e.g., engineering, chemistry, etc.).
