Chief Financial Officer

We seek a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on behalf of our client, an independent registered investment advisor that provides holistic financial advice, investment management, and other services to families, family offices, and select nonprofit institutions.  This is a newly created position.  Reporting to the Co-Chief Executive Officer, the CFO will assume an important role in the overall management of the Company by overseeing core financial functions.  She/he will act as a trusted business advisor in establishing and executing corporate strategies that link financial goals and business objectives across all aspects of the organization.

Qualified candidates will possess: 15+ years of relevant experience in a finance and/or accounting role including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, as well as strategic planning; demonstrated track record of developing and maintaining insightful business intelligence as well as financial and operational metrics; solid experience in vendor management; CPA or CA designation is highly preferred.

Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Our client, based in Harrisburg, is seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO). With $30.9 billion in assets under management, SERS is one of the oldest statewide retirement plans for public employees. 

The CIO will report directly to the Executive Director and serves as the staff liaison and primary support person to the Board.  The CIO will oversee, direct and mentor a staff of 21 and be responsible for planning, organizing and managing the investment activities of SERS in accordance with the investment policies established by the Board and under the provisions of governing state statutes.  The CIO will lead ongoing analysis of the merits of bringing more asset management in-house.

Our client, based in Trenton, is seeking a Deputy Director/Deputy Chief Investment Officer.  With $92 billion in assets under management, the Division is the 40th largest pension fund manager globally and the 18th largest among U.S. public and corporate pension fund managers.

The Deputy Director will bring an exceptional understanding of the capital markets, alternative investments, principals of asset allocation, and portfolio management to the Division.  The Deputy Director will report to the Director of the Division and works closely with the State Investment Council and the Board of Trustees.

This ED role requires a hands-on style and will be responsible for the day to day administration and business affairs of the organization, with assets of over $800M and an operating budget of approximately $7 million. The ED leads a team of six through three direct reports.
