Chief Executive Officer

HNC Living Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping head and neck cancer patients live life fully during and after treatment by providing services, programs, and financial aid to support their treatment and recovery.

The CEO will report to a Co-founder and the Board of Directors at the Foundation’s headquarters in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area.  Responsibilities include: Building a nimble, yet effective organization to achieve its mission;  development and implementation of a strategy for long term sustainability, beyond fundraising events, in a manner that ensures the organizations on-going existence and operation; acting as an external “face” of the organization; expanding the organization’s fundraising capability with existing and new potential donors; leading, recruiting, on-boarding, and developing a dedicated staff team; working alongside the Board of Directors to develop, implement, and monitor the annual budget in a manner which ensures adequate cash flow.

Qualified candidates will possess: A track record of success in advancing an organization through resource development activities and fund-raising principles; a demonstrated record of leadership and management excellence, including experience growing an organization through the implementation of infrastructure, business process, technology systems management and implementation, and metrics tracking; and an undergraduate degree.

Global Vice President of Finance

The Global Vice President of Finance (VP) will be the senior leader responsible for financial strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting, risk management, investment portfolio management, currency exchange management and internal auditing. The VP should have the leadership, drive, financial expertise and partnering skills to take Children International’s financial planning and analysis practices to new heights. To enable the transformation, we are looking for an extraordinary thought leader, people leader, and a savvy business person, who is a passionate advocate for children and an ethical owner of the cause.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of the Finance unit from an accounting and reporting function to a valued strategic partner that maximizes both fundraising and child impact and builds confidence and integrity around the world.
  • Provide financial leadership to the processes of integrated strategic planning, forecasting, revenue modeling, budgeting, resource allocation, cost-benefit analysis and financial reporting.
  • Proactively assess financial performance and identify future considerations or strategies to engage leadership and the Board of Directors in long range planning and direction setting.
  • Communicate financial results and dashboards of performance with proactive clear analysis, insights, and perspectives of the organization’s financial performance to the Executive Team, Budget and Finance Committee, and Board.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of senior management experience in a senior finance role working with a budget of $100 million at a minimum. Experience in a global operation a plus.
  • MBA or CPA required. Experience working for a not for profit preferred but not required.
  • Experience streamlining and refining financial processes in global operations. Ability to create tools and processes to increase efficiencies, improve data integrity and strengthen auditable work practices worldwide.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes in strategic planning, financial modeling, budgeting, financial reporting, cost benefit analysis, financial portfolio management, currency exchange, global funds transfers, cost accounting and risk management.

President & CEO

Our client, AspenPointe, is based in Colorado Springs and is seeking a President & Chief Executive Officer.  AspenPointe is a nonprofit community mental health center that provides a full continuum of exceptional behavioral health care.  
In collaboration with AspenPointe’s Board of Directors, the President & CEO helps determine the strategic direction of the organization and ensures both long- and short-term objectives are met. Reporting directly to the Board, the President & CEO exercises responsibility and authority for the overall administrative management and operations of AspenPointe and all of its affiliated corporate entities. 
 
Among the Qualifications Sought:
 
• An undergraduate degree is required.  An advanced degree or clinical education specific to the behavioral health, health care administration or related field highly preferred. 
• Must possess at least 10 years of professional experience, with significant leadership experience in behavioral health, health care administration or nonprofit management.  Given the size/scope of AspenPointe experience in a complex environment (multiple programs, locations, significant size/staff, etc.) will distinguish the most attractive candidates.  
• Familiarity with Medicaid or other federal, state or local behavioral health contracts is necessary.  
• Demonstrated ability to plan, analyze and implement decisions affecting new programs including innovative behavioral health practices, investment opportunities, partnerships and collaborations. Examples will be sought.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of various levels of care including crisis services, acute inpatient, partial hospital, residential and/or outpatient modalities.
